General Information Big Bass Lake House
If you are interested in a specific date or dates, it would be helpful if you replied (after reading everything below) by telling me the name, address, and phone number of the responsible parties (adults) who will be staying at the house along with the total number of people who will be staying and number and ages of the children. We are most interested in making sure that we rent to people who will enjoy, appreciate and take care of the property as our family does. I would be happy to talk to anyone with questions or concerns. Use my cell number below day or night and I will attempt to return your call as soon as possible.
I will hold a week for someone once I've received a security deposit of 1,000.00 and the following:
1. The information referred to in the paragraph above. (names, addresses, phone numbers, total staying, number and ages of children)
2. Assurance that they have read all of the information on our website and this email.
3. Agreement to return the signed rental agreement (which will be emailed to you) with a deposit check of $1,500 within 5 days.
Keep in mind that we may have several people interested in the same dates.

Our rates for the summer of 2016 are:
July and August through Labor day - $4500 per week.
May thru June and Sept thru October - $3500 per week, some weekends available for at a discount.
Reserve/Security deposit $1,500 to be returned at the end of stay provided no damages are reported, but is non refundable due to cancellation less than 60 days prior to date.
A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date, will incur no penalty. Cancellations made that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and security/reservation deposit if we are not able to find another renter. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
Monthly reservations must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in.
No pets (we can give information on local Kennels)
No cleaning service. Renter must leave the house as clean as they found the house. We will give info on our caretaker who will assist with light cleaning for a fee. Cleaning is still the responsibility of renter. We may have cleaning service available for weekend renters in the off season. Rates vary depending upon the number of people.
Note: Our house may not be for everyone. It is NOT a "summer camp" that can take abuse. It is a year-round home with finished floors and furnishings which our family maintains with loving care. We have been fortunate that almost every guest has had the same respect for the house.
We require the actual renters to identify and be responsible for all who are staying and reserve the right to increase the security deposit in some circumstances. We want only to rent to responsible adults.
There is Direct TV. We do have a phone for local calls only. Cell phones are generally unreliable here although it seems to have gotten better. Please obtain a calling card for any long distance calls you may need to make.
We encourage renters to bring their own sheets. If we provide king size sheets, renters must remove wash and dry sheets on the morning of departure.
We will rent Saturday to Saturday. The house must be vacated by 10 am in condition to receive the next guests. Arrival time is at 3pm.(possibly earlier if caretaker has been through) Check in and out by calling my cell at 973-222-0531
